Sony has released a special celebratory theme for  subscribers.

To celebrate the ten-year anniversary of PS Plus, Sony is giving away a free  theme to subscribers.

To download the brand new theme, just visit the PS Plus section of the PlayStation Store and select the theme to download.

"Give your PlayStation 4 system’s home screen a personal touch with this special theme celebrating the 10 year anniversary of PlayStation Plus," reads the Sony description.

"Themes can be downloaded to give your on-screen display a completely new look, changing the background, icons and colours to match your favourite game or style.

"After downloading, you can select the theme you want to use via the Themes option on the PS4 system’s Settings menu."

Sony is also giving away an additional PlayStation Plus game to subscribers, as Erica joins NBA 2K20 and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

All three games will be available to download when the PS Plus games are refreshed on July 7.

"NBA 2K has evolved into much more than a basketball simulation," reads the PlayStation Blog description.

"With its immersive open-world Neighborhood, NBA 2K20 is a platform for gamers and ballers to come together and create what’s next in basketball culture.

"Take your skills to the next level, featuring an upgraded motion engine with signature styles, advanced shooting controls, a new dribble size-up system, refined off-ball collisions, and a new read & react defensive game."

While NBA 2K20 was praised for the action on the court, fans and critics weren't as happy with all of the in-game microtransactions and gambling mechanics.

Rise of the Tomb Raider, meanwhile, shifts the action to Siberia, where Lara Croft uncovers a lost city and ancient mystery.

PlayStation Plus announce their free games for July

Sitting pretty with a Metacritic score of 88%, the game boasts some of the best visuals on the PS4.

It also features a smattering of excellent puzzle tombs, as well as some fantastic action set-pieces. There are a few too many shoot-out sections for my taste, but it's still a very good game.

Then there's Erica, which is a cinematic game with live action visuals and multiple endings.

The game can actually be controlled using iOS and Android smartphones, making it one of the more unique experiences available on PS4.
