Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles Attend a Parade Together in Scotland
The Queen seemed to be in high spirits as she watched the event in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
Prince Charles, known as the Duke of Rothesay when in Scotland, accompanied his mother, Queen Elizabeth, to the Royal Company of Archers Reddendo Parade today. The annual event is held in the Palace of Holyroodhouse's gardens, the Queen's official residence in Edinburgh, and more than 300 officers and archers from the Queen's Body Guard for Scotland took part in the parade.
The Queen has had a busy week in Scotland, making her first public appearance since her Platinum Jubilee weekend in early June. The 96-year-old British monarch appeared at the Ceremony of the Keys on Monday, attended a military parade on Tuesday, and met with Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on Wednesday. However, she skipped the Order of the Thistle service, and yesterday's Garden Party at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
